It looks like eBay is raising fees again … This time in the U.K.
• higher commission fees in every category but two.
• a reduction of the fee discount for sellers who are part of the Premium Service.
• higher fees for sellers with Anchor Stores.
• a higher fee on low turnover items.
There will even be an ‘outdated listing’ fee…
The question is: will eBay be changing fees in other countries including the U.S.? What will be the effect of such changes and will other online retailers like Amazon follow?
One eBay seller in the U.S. expressed agreement with the eBay UK changes. He wrote on the message board, “Probably an unpopular view, but I’m not opposed to that all…maybe it will help clear the sight a bit (of) so many garbage or grossly overpriced listing(s)…”

eBay Marketplace’s gross merchandise volume for the fourth quarter grew 2%. The U.S. was up 3% and volume rose 1% internationally. Revenue grew to $2.3 billion. Moreover, marketplaces garnered 2.9 million new buyers for the quarter. Growth for the full year was 14.9 million. That’s up 11% to 155 million. Read more @ Feedvisor
