A very interesting dialogue with millionaire entrepreneur & Shark Tank host, Mark Cuban.
Remember back when the big concern about online privacy was mainly browser cookies?
The digital profiles generated by social-media accounts and text messaging will one day “put Minority Report to shame,” says entrepreneur Mark Cuban.
“People are starting to realize that our privacy is disintegrating,” he tells Inc.com. In this video the Shark Tank host and Dallas Mavericks owner cites a list of concerns, specifically, he pointed to the permanence of status updates, tweets, and other social-media posts. In the future, these digital profiles will provide more information on a person’s proclivities than just about any other current source of Big Data aggregation available. So you’d better start thinking about how to clean up your posts, he says. He’s is working on two projects–Both are currently Free, called Cyber Dust and Xpire—to help users do just that.
